☆ミ Etsy Shop Hiatus + New Bows ☆ミ

Last Thursday, I closed Starlight Deco Dream's etsy shop for a few weeks,

 so I may rest and recover from illness and exhaustion. 

So far, I'm feeling a lot better, with everything all shipped out.

I have kept it open since last summer and run it entirely by myself.

In the future, I'd like to have an assistant if I open a boutique, but really,

Starlight Deco Dream is a result of my happiness creating fake sweets and fairy items

because this is my hobby. As a hobbyist, it would be strange to expand so much

where I would need an assistant ^^;; So please, I ask if you love my items,

please be patient while I rest up.

In the mean time, I continue to create some things here and there,

but without the shop in mind. I'm purely creating for myself, the way it should be.

If I think the items are really amazing, I will post them to the shop.

When I re-open, all of the regular items will be there, so no worries.

Here is what I've done in the last few days.

 

I received this Little Twin Stars fabric a few months ago and was anxious 

to create something with it right away.

The results are so sweet, with the resin mint star and little baby block charm.

Now to rest up some more.

☆ミ Checkerboard Cookies ☆ミ

Made some checker board cookies.

They were easier than they looked and the result is very charming.

Right now I'm just creating deco parts but not a big plan for them.

It will all come together, I'm certain.

Lately I've been pouring through cook books from the university,

trying to come up with new ideas. I'm very interested in french baked goods' designs

so I've been researching and researching! Wouldn't you like to see a deco case with cookies?

Or a phone strap with a baguette and sauce?

I do have some plans drawn out, but I'm just experimenting with new products.

Let's wonder where tomorrow will take me, ok?

☆ミ Starlight Deco Cookie ☆ミ

Just a little update today, because I was feeling under the weather.

When I'm feeling down, nothing cheers me up more than working on my fake sweets.

I made another 75 strawberries so I'm almost at my goal for the week,

but I think I want to do more bread / cracker / cookie items.

 

I tried out my new stamp on a set of cookies.

It says "Starlight Deco" just like my shop!

Finally, the shop name feels so official

 

Consider these 'unbaked' cookies, as I have yet to brown the edges with paint,

but don't they look yummy? I'm going to make more, but this is just the start.

I also tried making slices of strawberries but I still need more practice.

They looked like corn  

I'm going to get some more rest, as sick people need to be in bed.

☆ミ One Word Is Enough ☆ミ

As you can see, I have designed acrylic necklaces finally!!!

MILK, CREAMY, STARLIGHT, MAHOUKEI.

They look spooky and cute. 

 Like milk dripping yum yum!

I was thinking of Magical Girls and Creamy Mami when I created them.

I'm working on the necklace design for the other words.

☆ミ Making Strawberries Time ☆ミ

 

  Making strawberries is tough work.
Actually, making any little fruits is tough work.

Yet I consider myself now a pro at making strawberries.

You wouldn't believe how much time it takes to properly make one (｡≖ิ‿≖ิ)

You must first get the right shape with the clay.

Then you poke little 'seed' holes in it.

Once the strawberry is prepared, you let them all dry.

Then you can colour it more like a strawberry!

I prefer to colour them afterwards because it looks realistic.

See? They look delicious right?

No? Not yet.

How about a little gloss ♫♬

Now they look so fresh and ready to go on top of a cake ! ♥♥

It takes such a long time, but I've perfected the process.

 

 

Now I will go and create a few hundred more (*´-ω-｀)・・・ﾌｩ

Then onward to creating more fruit.

And little cake slices to put them on.
